WorkHealthandSafetyInductionHandbook–Version1DocumentOwner:ASXNationalFacilitiesWorkHealthandSafetyInductionHandbookVersion1.0January2019WorkHealthandSafetyInductionHandbook–Version1DocumentOwner:ASXNationalFacilities1ScopeThisWorkHealthandSafetyInductionHandbookappliestoallCustomers,Contractors,Subcontractorsandtheiremployees,engagedbyASXortheirCustomerstoundertakeworkatASXpremises.Forthepurposeofthehandbook,theaboveperson/swillbeknownasa‘Worker.2IntroductionAllWorkersarerequiredtocompleteaninductionbeforeconductingworkatASXpremises.Theaimofthisinductionisto:OutlinethestandardsofprofessionalconductrequiredofWorkersworkinginourpremisesOutlineASX’sWorkHealthandSafety(WHS)policiesandproceduresEnsurethatWorkersareawareoftheapplicablesecurityandoperationalpoliciesandproceduresProvideinformationonspecificsafetyandenvironmentalhazardsAllpersonsaccessingthepremisemustcomplywithASX’spoliciesandprocedures,governingoperationalprocessesandstandardsofprofessionalconductincluding,withoutlimitation,regulationsrelatingtoworkplacehealthandsafetyandsecurity.Failuretodosomayresultinimmediateremovalfromthepremise,restrictionsbeingplacedonfutureentry,orpermanentrevocationofaccess.3ConditionsofentryAllWorkersmustfirstlyreporttoSecurityorinthecaseofBridgeStreettheDockMasterandsigntheIn/OutRegisteroneachentryandexit.WorkersattendingthefacilityforthefirsttimewillberequiredtoundergoanASX’sWHSinductionpriortocommencinganyworkonsite.Failuretodosowillmeanaccesstothepremiseswillbenotbegranted.4GeneralinformationandexpectedconductThefollowingcodeofconductoutlinesthestandardofbehaviourrequiredbyWorkersatallASXpremises.4.1AlcoholandOtherDrugsTherisklevelrelatedtohazardsataworkplacecanbesignificantlyincreasedbyalcoholandotherdrugs.Workerswillnotuseorbeundertheinfluenceofalcoholorillegaldrugs.4.2ConfidentialityItisourexpectationthatWorkerswillrespecttheconfidentialityofinformationobtainedinthecourseofemploymentorassociatedworkforASX.Important:ContractorinductionisrenewedannuallyWorkHealthandSafetyInductionHandbook–Version1DocumentOwner:ASXNationalFacilities4.3PhotographyNophotographyispermittedwithinourpremises.Cameras,videoandtaperecordersareprohibited.PleasecontacttheASXFacilityManagerifyourequirephotographstobetakenon-site.4.4QualityfocusASXexpectsthatworkundertakenwithinourpremisesmeetsaspecificlevelofquality.Youareresponsibleforensuringthat:Youfollowthecorrectprocedure/jobspecificationYouusetherighttoolsandmaterial/sYouinspectyourownworkYourecordyourinspectionsTheworkyoucompleteisfitforpurpose4.5AirqualityWorkersmusttakeallpracticableprecautionstominimisechangestoindoorairquality.Airqualitycanbeaffected,forexamplebydustorpaintfumes,andshouldbelimitedtoafterhoursorweekendoperationswithapprovalfromtheASXFacilityManager.4.6ProhibitedbehaviourOffensivebehaviourisexpresslyprohibitedandincludes:Allbehaviourthatreinforcesinappropriate,demeaningordiscriminatoryattitudesorassumptionsaboutpersonsbasedonage,race,sex,disability,sexualorientation,transgenderstatus,ormaritalstatusBehavioursuchaswhistling,unsolicitedremarksofasexualnatureandswearingCourseandabusivelanguage4.7ProhibiteditemsProhibiteditemsinclude,butarenotlimitedto,thefollowing:ExplosivesFlammableliquidsandgassesWeapons4.8SmokefreeenvironmentASXhasanestablished‘nosmokingpolicy’.Smokingoftobaccoproducts,person...
